Scott Williams Bio

Scott Williams, a seventh-generation Tennessean, is an author dedicated to uncovering forgotten stories in American history and culture. His books include biographies of Richard Halliburton, Odd McIntyre and David Crockett. In his latest work, he explores early Memphis settler Marcus Winchester. Williams has led teams at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., and Elvis Presley’s Graceland in Memphis. He is now CEO of Discovery Park of America in Union City, Tennessee.

He also currently serves on the boards of the West Tennessee chapter of the American Advertising Federation and the Tennessee Hospitality and Tourism Association, as well as on the advisory boards of the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development and the University of Tennessee at Martin College of Business and Global Affairs. Williams is president of the Tennessee State Library and Archives Friends.
